Introducing Marcelle
& why Motivation, Joy & Wellness
After nearly 40 years of supporting thousands of people through some of life's most challenging transitions, alongside navigating many of my own, I began to notice something important.
When life becomes overwhelming, it isn't simply our circumstances that change.
Our nervous system changes too.
Again and again, I found myself helping people create enough safety to move forward.
I saw the same pattern emerge time after time.
-
When we feel safe, we think more clearly.
-
When we feel safe, we connect more deeply.
-
When we feel safe, we begin to make choices that honour who we truly are.
Safety became the foundation from which everything else could grow.
Those observations, together with decades of professional experience and my own personal journey, became the beginning of Motivation, Joy & Wellness.
Over time, they evolved into The Motivating Elements of Being ME® framework.
When I later discovered gentle somatic EFT Tapping, it became the missing piece—helping bring this work out of the mind and into the body by supporting the nervous system to feel safe enough for lasting change.
Today, my work brings together nearly four decades of professional experience, lived experience and one simple belief.
When we feel safe enough, we begin to remember who we are.
From that place...
Motivation returns.
Joy reappears.
Wellness becomes possible.

'Come as you are, for a no pressure chat to see how this can support you'

The Experiences That Shaped My Work
The Motivating Elements of Being ME® framework wasn't created overnight.
It evolved through decades of supporting others, recognising patterns and, ultimately, living through some of life's most challenging transitions myself.
Like many of the women I now support, there were times when I felt overwhelmed, lost and unsure how to move forward.
Perhaps some of this feels familiar...
Have you spent years caring deeply for others, whilst quietly wondering how to stay connected to yourself along the way?
Have you wondered where your confidence, energy or sense of identity disappeared to?
Have you become so used to meeting everyone else's needs that the thought of focusing on your own feels unfamiliar—or even uncomfortable?
If so, you are not alone.
These experiences didn't just shape my life.
They shaped the work I now share with others.
I didn't simply study these transitions.
I lived them, mapped them and found a way through.
Perimenopause: When I No Longer Recognised Myself
Perimenopause challenged everything I thought I knew about myself.
The confidence I'd always relied upon became anxiety. My clear thinking was replaced by brain fog. At times, I no longer recognised the woman looking back at me.
There were moments when I felt like the exhausted dog beneath the tree in Marley & Me—not giving up, simply unable to keep going in the way I always had.
I was fortunate to receive support and the opportunity to focus on my own wellbeing.
Yet, unexpectedly, that became one of the greatest challenges of all.
For most of my life, I had been caring, solving problems and showing up for others.
Now I was being asked to sit quietly with myself.
No role.
No responsibility.
No one else to rescue.
Just me.
For a while, that was the hardest part.
I realised I wasn't simply navigating perimenopause.
I was learning how to meet myself beyond the roles, expectations and identities I had carried for decades.
Slowly, I began to discover the woman who had been there all along.
That journey became the foundation of the work I now share with others.
My Journey as a Carer: Learning to Include Myself Too
For many years, much of my heart was devoted to supporting my daughter through complex health challenges, surgeries and difficult medical journeys.
Like so many carers, I wanted to do everything I could to help someone I loved.
Alongside the practical responsibilities came the quiet worries, the uncertainty and the constant hope that tomorrow might be a little easier.
Through both my professional work and my own experiences, I met countless women carrying that same invisible weight.
Women who gave so much of themselves because love asked them to.
One of the greatest lessons I learnt was that caring for myself didn't mean caring less for the people I loved.
It meant creating enough space to continue showing up with greater calm, resilience and presence.
That understanding became an important part of The Motivating Elements of Being ME®.
Not teaching people to care less.
Simply helping them learn to include themselves in the care too.
Living with Invisible Illness: Learning to Listen
My understanding of invisible illness is both professional and deeply personal.
Alongside supporting women living with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, endometriosis and other long-term health conditions, I have spent many years helping them make sense of the emotional, lifestyle and nervous system impact of living with invisible illness.
I have also navigated my own experiences of endometriosis, adenomyosis, surgery and overwhelming fatigue.
When HRT wasn't the right path for me, I found myself asking a question I never expected.
"If I've spent decades helping other people, why do I suddenly feel like I've lost myself?"
Discovering gentle somatic EFT Tapping became a turning point.
It helped me stop fighting my body and begin listening to it.
Rather than seeing my body as the problem, I slowly learnt to see it as something that had been trying to protect me all along.
Combined with The Motivating Elements of Being ME®, it helped me regulate my nervous system, reconnect with myself and gently create a way forward that felt safe and sustainable.
Over time, something else began to change.
My motivation returned.
I found joy in everyday moments again.
Most importantly, my overall wellbeing improved in ways I never expected.
That doesn't mean life became perfect or every symptom disappeared.
It means I began living as myself again.
Today, I share that same path with the women I support.
Not because our stories are the same.
But because every woman deserves enough safety to discover who she is beneath everything she has carried.
